Through our structured, hands-on Apprentice Program, you’ll gain valuable skills while assembling precision custom equipment. You’ll learn to build and repair dispensing nozzles, paste guns, and applicators; interpret blueprints; align components; set sensors; cut and drill materials; and perform wiring, light machining, and welding — all while receiving expert mentorship every step of the way.
No prior experience is needed. Every day you’ll contribute to building high-quality automated machines that are shipped to customers around the world, gaining real, practical experience that sets you up for long-term success as a skilled Machine Builder.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use proven methods and procedures to assemble cutting-edge automation equipment, including assembling and repairing dispensing nozzles, paste guns, applicators, and related components.
- Review blueprints and instructions to plan and complete your tasks.
- Inspect and measure components against prints to guarantee quality and precision.
- Align and assemble components to ensure quality and reliable performance.
- Set equipment guides, stops, sensors, and make necessary adjustments that bring our machines to life.
- Cut, drill, and prep industrial materials — building your fabrication skills.
- Learn and master new skills as they’re introduced: drilling, tapping, welding, wiring, alignment, inspection, and light machining.
- Maintain a personal notebook detailing the skills learned for future reference.
- Build shipping skids/crates and pack completed machines and equipment so it arrives safely to our customers around the globe.
- Actively look for and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions so our teams stay safe and on schedule.
- Adhere to Fusion's Quality Policy, ISO 9001 standards, and established procedures: actively seeking opportunities for continuous process improvement.
- Stay safe by adhering to all safety rules, regulations and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed, including backup roles for varies Plant 1 operations.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine desire to learn machine building (drilling, tapping, assembly, welding, wiring, alignment, inspection & light machining)
- Comfort using hand tools and keeping accurate paperwork
- Basic hand tools and toolbox with desire to accumulate more sophisticated tools over time
- Solid organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn
- Ability to lift and move 20–30 lb. materials on a regular basis.
