Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations
- Lead and manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; provide coaching and performance feedback.
- Assign tasks and manage workload distribution to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Maintain and enhance internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Assist with annual audits, coordinating with external auditors and preparing required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and strengthen controls.
- Assist with system upgrades, implementations, and enhancements to improve accounting operations.
- Develop and maintain accounting SOPs and documentation.
- Partner with FP&A, operations, and leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems; advanced Excel skills preferred.
