JOB SUMMARY:

Fuse Technical Group, LLC is searching for a dynamic individual to join our team. The Logistics Manager is responsible for assisting the National Director of Operations and working with the local Operations Directors to manage company optimization projects. This requires the use of a computer-based inventory program, Rental Works, and developing an extensive knowledge of its functionalities to achieve specific job objectives. This position requires collaboration and completion of national objectives as assigned by the National Director of Operations.

This position reports to and supports the National Director of Operations.


Key Accountabilities:


Management of personnel within the Logistics Group

  • National Logistics Coordinators
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports through effective and consistent communication and delegation.
  • Develop and manage personnel objectives and best practices to review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
  • Communicate all company objectives and processes to team and manage execution and results.


Management of Equipment Movements

  • Work in collaboration with the equipment planning team on the planning of projects to determine best location(s) for current and future projects for outbound as well as inbound equipment locations to achieve the most efficient and successful ways for profit gain/savings and equipment utilization.
  • Create and implement best practices, principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance of equipment movements both internal and external.


Management of Freight Operations

  • Develop and implement the best practice logistics vision, strategy, processes, and procedures to aid and improve performance and costs.
  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal departments and managers, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.
  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
  • Establish New Methodologies and Processes for Freight Management
  • Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Recommend optimal transport modes, routes, or frequency.
  • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
  • Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities and advise of cost implications and efficiency to identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.


Engagement/Extension/Management of Vendor Relationships

  • Develop and maintain national and international relationships with subrental vendors.
  • Select carriers/suppliers and monitor pricing and product quality against performance criteria.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with subrental vendors.
  • Develop and maintain national and international relationships with shipping vendors.
  • Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.


Management of freight purchase orders.

  • Monthly reconcile of all locations freight expenses
  • Monthly collaboration meeting with management to evaluate spending.


Skills and Qualifications:

Adhering to Standards, Learning and Following Processes, Inventory Organization, Technical Skills, and Interest in Entertainment Production. Intermediate excel experience.


Education and Experience:

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Management or Team Lead experience is required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Planning, time management, collaboration, and organization skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work within a team
  • Willingness to work a demanding schedule that is dependent upon evolving client needs

Physical Requirements:

Required to stand, walk, and sit; see, talk, or hear both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to work for extended periods at a computer and view one or more screens. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
