THE OPPORTUNITY
The LED Department Manager leads the charge on the performance and technical integrity of Fuse Technical Group’s LED inventory, systems, and people. This role keeps the lights on—literally—by making sure LED equipment is properly maintained, prepped, deployed, and returned in line with show requirements, company standards, and real-world timelines, while setting clear expectations for quality and accountability.
As Fuse continues to grow, this role brings harmony to our LED operations. The LED Department Manager connects warehouse operations with show execution, raises the bar on quality control, and builds momentum through continuous improvement across all LED workflows. It’s a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, tightening systems, and delivering show-ready results every time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Builder in Chief
- Lead, mentor, and develop LED technicians, QC leads, and freelance crew
- Set clear expectations, workflows, and performance standards
- Support training, evaluations, and corrective action when needed
- Build a culture rooted in accountability, safety, and technical excellence
Strategic Operator
- Partner on warehouse QC structures and LED storage optimization
- Provide input on capital purchases, lifecycle planning, and inventory growth
- Track KPIs related to damages, prep accuracy, returns, and labor efficiency
Flow Controller
- Own LED workflows from inbound through QC, storage, prep, show, and return
- Ensure accurate prep, labeling, packing, and documentation for all LED systems
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Project Management, and Warehouse leadership
- Support proper crew staffing and skill alignment for each show
Technical & Show Support Anchor
- Serve as the LED technical authority for system design, configuration, and deployment
- Support complex builds, troubleshooting, and on-site execution as needed
- Review system designs for feasibility, efficiency, and inventory alignment
- Assist with new product integration, testing, and team training
Quality, Safety, and Improvement Guardrail
- Establish and enforce LED QC standards, SOPs, and checklists
- Ensure all LED panels, processors, power, and accessories are tested and show-ready
- Enforce proper handling, rigging, and electrical safety standards
- Track repairs, RMAs, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements across LED workflows
- Maintain accurate scanning and inventory control within RentalWorks
- Promote a clean, organized, and safe LED work environment
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 5 or more years working with LED video systems in live events or touring
- At least 2 years in a leadership or department management role
- Strong understanding of LED panels, processors, power, data, and control systems
- Experience managing warehouse-based AV or LED workflows
- Ability to lead both full time staff and freelance crews
- Clear communication and strong organizational skills
- Experience with high resolution indoor and outdoor LED systems
- Familiarity with Brompton, Novastar, and common media servers
- RentalWorks experience is a plus
- Touring, broadcast, or large-scale corporate event background
Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and travel as required
- Ability to work in warehouse and show-site environments

Physical Requirements:
Required to stand, walk, and sit; see, talk, or hear both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to work for extended periods at a computer and view one or more screens. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
