Position Summary.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing Fuse’s financial health. This position will oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide insights to support strategic decision making. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, growing company environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger by ensuring proper use of P&L accounts and reconciling all balance sheet accounts.
- Lead annual budgets and rolling forecasts in coordination with leadership.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to reduce risk and safeguard company assets.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Manage cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to align with business needs and growth goals.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.
- Improve financial processes and internal controls to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with leadership to provide insights, recommendations, and financial strategies.
- Oversee inventory and cost accounting for appliance and plumbing product lines.
- Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, and key vendors.
- Lead and mentor finance staff to build capability and foster accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience in distribution, retail, or specialty trade industries a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or MBA
- Experience with Crystal Reporting
