Network Field Technician (CompTIA Network Certified)Travel: Approximately 50% field-based / 50% office-basedPosition OverviewWe are seeking a CompTIA Network Certified Network Field Technician to support the deployment, programming, and ongoing support of mission-critical field devices across multiple customer environments. This role requires a hands-on technician who is equally comfortable working in the field and collaborating with engineering and project teams from the office.The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of network fundamentals, practical troubleshooting skills, and the professionalism required to work in secure, regulated customer environments.Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations (Approximately 50%)Install, configure, and program network-connected field devices (cameras, access control panels, IoT devices, network equipment, etc.)Perform on-site troubleshooting of network connectivity, device communication, and system performance issuesValidate device configurations, IP schemes, VLANs, and network security settingsSupport commissioning, testing, and acceptance of newly deployed systemsCoordinate with customers, project managers, and internal engineering teams during on-site activitiesMaintain accurate documentation of field work, configurations, and service activitiesOffice & Remote Support (Approximately 50%)Provide remote support and diagnostics for deployed systemsAssist with staging, configuration, and pre-deployment programming of devicesSupport network documentation, diagrams, and as-built recordsCollaborate with engineers on troubleshooting escalations and system improvementsParticipate in ongoing training and certification developmentRequired QualificationsCompTIA Network Certification (required)Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, and basic firewall conceptsExperience programming and supporting network-connected devicesAbility to troubleshoot Layer 1–3 network issuesComfortable working in active customer environments (government, enterprise, education, critical infrastructure, etc.)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyLicensing & Screening RequirementsValid driver’s licenseClean driving recordAbility to pass a background checkWillingness to travel between customer sites and office locations as requiredPreferred (Nice to Have)Experience with physical security systems, IoT devices, or building systemsFamiliarity with enterprise networking equipment (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.)Experience working in secure or regulated environmentsAdditional certifications (Security , vendor certifications, etc.)We offer a full benefits package including medical and dental and more!
