Mechanical Engineer

The Tire Engineer drives tire construction, processing, cost, and quality for production releases, applying technical aptitude and independent judgment to support continuous improvement in tire performance and manufacturing quality. They work closely with R&D and production teams to audit processes, manage defect control, and maintain accurate tire specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cured tire analysis to evaluate construction, performance, and quality.
• Supervise test tire procurement, coordinating with production and R&D.
• Follow up on defect control and corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
• Issue quality instructions and ensure proper communication to production teams.
• Audit all phases of factory processing to verify compliance with tire specifications and standards.
• Conduct training programs for employees related to tire construction, quality, and processing.
• Maintain tire specifications, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of tire engineering and production quality.
  
  

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
• AS400 experience a plus.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent technical experience accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tire manufacturing preferred.
