Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, proper approval, and account coding
- Maintain timely and accurate entry of accounts payable transactions in company systems
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues
- Monitor vendor accounts and reconcile balances as needed
- Ensure payments are made in accordance with agreed terms and company policies
- Respond to vendor inquiries and provide support in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with audits, reporting, and preparation of required financial documents (e.g., 1099s)
- Support cross-functional collaboration with accounting and other departments
- Provide backup support within the accounting team as needed
- Participate in system updates, process improvements, and other departmental initiatives
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong customer service mindset and ability to work collaboratively across teams
