Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist- Medical to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable and dependable; demonstrate proficiency in data entry and customer service. This role is vital in providing exceptional patient service, managing appointments, scheduling patients and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating organizational excellence and a welcoming demeanor to all patients and staff. Training will be provided. Shift need is approximately 2:30pm - 6:30pm M-Th and Saturdays 8am-12:15pm. Employer will consider hiring two applicants for job share of this position.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process.
- Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems while coordinating with clinical staff to optimize patient flow.
- Process patient co-payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing information or directing calls appropriately while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, and managing electronic health records
- Support clinic operations by managing patient intake forms, scheduling follow-up appointments, and maintaining a tidy front desk environment.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and HIPAA compliance standards an asset.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing).
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
