Job Title: Pet Groomer / Dog Groomer / Pet Stylist

Pay: 50% commission (typically $20.00–$100.00 per hour, plus tips)

JOB DESCRIPTION
FurEver Friends is seeking an experienced Pet Groomer / Dog Groomer / Pet Stylist to join our busy grooming team. If you love working hands-on with dogs, creating clean, stylish cuts, and making pets and their owners happy, this role is for you. We are looking for a groomer who can handle full-service grooming (not just bathing), but experience as a bather, brusher, or grooming stylist is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform full-service dog grooming: bathing, brushing, blow drying, haircuts, de-shedding, dematting, nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims
• Provide breed-specific and custom cuts using clippers and scissoring techniques
• Safely handle and restrain dogs of all sizes and temperaments in a calm, professional manner
• Evaluate coat and skin condition and recommend appropriate grooming services and products
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming station, including equipment cleaning and basic maintenance
• Communicate clearly with pet parents about grooming requests, coat condition, pricing, and any health or behavior concerns observed
• Work effectively with other groomers, bathers, and team members to ensure a smooth grooming schedule and great customer experience
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and animal welfare policies

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as a Pet Groomer, Dog Groomer, Pet Stylist, Grooming Stylist, or Bather/Brusher in a grooming salon, pet store, kennel, or veterinary clinic
• Strong skills in dog grooming, including clipper work, scissoring, breed-specific cuts, and basic pet styling
• Knowledge of dog breeds, coat types, and grooming requirements
• Confident animal handling skills and safe restraint techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced grooming environment and manage your own grooming schedule
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with pet parents and coworkers
• Experience as a veterinary assistant, kennel attendant, or in other animal care roles is a plus

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
