Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services for pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process. This role requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Bathe and groom pets according to their specific needs and breed standards.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during the bathing process.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Assist in animal restraint during grooming procedures as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and any observations during grooming.
- Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during bathing sessions.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff when necessary, especially if any health concerns arise during grooming.
- Support kennel operations by assisting with animal care, including feeding and exercising pets as required.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in dog training or handling preferred.
- Background in veterinary assistance or technician roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and tools is highly desirable.
- Experience in animal handling, restraint, or care, including equine experience is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
