Veterinary Assistant / Customer Service Representative
Clinic: FurBuds Veterinary
Hours: 30–40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional rotating weekends and holidays

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team as a Veterinary Assistant and Customer Service Representative.
Position Summary:
This is a dual-role position involving both client service and patient care support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with clients and assisting veterinarians and technicians with daily clinical duties. You’ll help ensure every client and pet has a positive experience from check-in to checkout.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Service:
- Greet clients and pets with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client communications
- Check clients in and out, process invoices, and handle payments
- Communicate treatment plans and follow-up care as directed by the veterinarian
- Maintain accurate medical and financial records
Patient Care Assistance:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Safely restrain dogs and cats for exams, nail trims, and sample collection
- Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized or boarding pets
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms, kennels, and equipment
- Restock and maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a veterinary, pet care, or animal shelter setting preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Compassionate, calm, and professional under pressure
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with veterinary software (preferred)
Schedule & Availability:
- Must be available Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Some rotating weekend and holiday duties required
