Position Summary:
Position reports to Regional Controller or Assistant Regional Controller. Reporting relationship and number of positions are determined by the number of facilities in the region. The position is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements for assigned facilities. Responsible for analysis of all balance sheet accounts. Perform special project requests as assigned by the Divisional Controller, Regional Controller, and/or Assistant Regional Controller
Posted Salary Range: USD $60, USD $65,000.00 /Yr. Wage Commensuration: The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare analysis in standard format for all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and maintain proper supporting documentation.
- Responsible for coordinating the preparation of financial statements with facility personnel.
- Assist in supporting all audits including Medicare, Medicaid, and external and internal financial audits.
- Preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost reports as assigned.
- Analyze outcomes to look for opportunities in operational improvement.
- Participate in monthly financial review process with Operational management and take active roll with facility on cost management.
- Conduct facility visits to improve financial performance and assist in training.
- Complete special projects, such as audit research and regional analyses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting required.
- One to three years experience in accounting, healthcare auditing or accounting experience preferred.
- Financial statement preparation experience required, particularly with automated GL, AR, AP and PR systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation required
