Job Summary: The Lead Therapist for Outpatient/Wellness supervises, manages and provides therapy services for clinical operations.
Qualifications:Responsibilities/Requirements:

Assists the manager in the implementation of all new clinical programs and policies implemented by a Regional Manager and/or Corporate Office.

Helps the manager maintain communication with all staff members to address any clinical concerns they may have.

Establishes and maintains professionalism within the department.

Markets facility to community and physicians in collaboration with the client/facility coordinators.

Train all staff within an appropriate timeframe.

Attends designated clinical meetings.
-
Assists the manager in the management of PPS, MDS, and caseload.

Maintains contact with manager and RVP as necessary/required.
-
Assists therapists with residents as needed.
-
Collaborates with the facility on the continuum of care for all residents on caseload to include Safe Transition Planning in order to provide elite care for all individuals we treat.

As needed, help the manager conduct meetings with staff to monitor resident’s care and bring them current on any training, information, etc.

Other duties as assigned.
Education and Licensure:
-
Associate or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited Occupation Therapy or Physical Therapy, or Masters of Speech Language Pathology.

Must meet all certification and licensure requirements as established by the state and national board associations.

Active state license.

One-year clinical experience preferred.

Active CPR certification prior to start

Annual TB skin test (current prior to start)

Must possess a current certification from NBCOT if required by state – OTs only.
Knowledge and Skills:

Must possess comprehensive leadership skills and be able to supervise as needed.

Ability to stand, sit, and move around for extended periods to evaluate and treat patients.

Capacity to lift and position patients as needed during therapy sessions.

Potential exposure to infectious diseases and human waste products.

Prolonged periods of sitting and working on an electronic device.
