Accounting Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance & Accounting team at our main office in Johnstown, New York. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to learn the financial operations within the construction industry, including budgeting, cost analysis, and reporting, while working directly with experienced finance professionals. This is a full-time, hourly paid position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and analyzing project budgets and forecasts.
• Support monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and cost tracking.
• Help review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments.
• Conduct data entry and organization of financial records.
• Assist with auditing processes and compliance checks.
• Contribute to special projects related to financial systems and process improvements.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial/accounting software (preferred).
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
