THE FAST TEACHING EXPERIENCE: The STEM Innovation Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, hands-on learning experiences that integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through design thinking, problem solving, and project-based learning. The teacher fosters creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation while preparing students to become future leaders in STEM fields.
This position supports the school’s mission by providing students with opportunities to explore real-world challenges, apply engineering principles, and develop technological literacy in a student-centered learning environment.
YOUR CLASSROOM, YOUR IMPACT:
What You’ll Do
- Design and deliver engaging STEM and innovation-based lessons using project-based and inquiry-based learning strategies
- Guide students through the engineering design process (identify problems, brainstorm, prototype, test, and refine solutions)
- Integrate science, mathematics, technology, and engineering concepts into interdisciplinary learning experiences
- Facilitate hands-on learning using tools such as robotics, coding platforms, makerspace materials, and digital technologies
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and innovation through student-centered instruction
Work With Others
- Collaborate with grade-level and interdisciplinary teams to support integrated STEM learning
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, STEM programs, and interdisciplinary projects

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required)
- Degree in Education, Engineering, Science, or a related field (preferred)
- Valid Georgia Teaching Certification in the applicable field, or eligibility to obtain a Valid Georgia Teaching Certification
- 1 years of demonstrated success teaching STEM/STEAM, robotics, engineering, coding, or project based learning
- Experience using technology and makerspace tools in the classroom
- TAG certification (preferred)
