FSS Staffing is seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our team at a 3PL distribution center in Budd Lake, NJ. This position is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and shipping operations while ensuring orders are processed accurately, safely, and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, or 3PL environment and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience with beauty, cosmetics, health & wellness, or consumer packaged goods is highly preferred.

Salary: $65,000-80,000/yr
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shipping operations to ensure accurate and on-time order processing.
- Oversee picking, packing, labeling, kitting, rework, and value-added services.
- Ensure orders are processed according to customer-specific requirements.
- Monitor shipping schedules and coordinate carrier pickups.
- Coordinate outbound shipments through parcel, LTL, FTL, and international carriers.
- Ensure compliance with routing guides and shipping instructions.
- Supervise inbound receiving activities and verify product quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, and product condition.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse associates.
- Assign work priorities and balance labor based on operational needs.
- Monitor employee productivity, quality, and performance.
- Assist with new employee onboarding and ongoing training.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP, FDA, and customer quality requirements.
- Participate in accident investigations and corrective action plans.
- Communicate operational issues, shipment status, and customer requests to management.
- Assist with customer audits, inspections, and operational reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, distribution, or 3PL environment.
- Experience with receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred:
- Experience in beauty, cosmetics, health & wellness, or consumer packaged goods fulfillment.
- Experience managing lot-controlled and expiration-dated inventory.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma concepts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business requirements.
