Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead
Pay Rate: $19.25/hr.
Shift: 6 AM- 6 PM

Position Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead is responsible for overseeing daily quality control operations to ensure products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards. This role provides leadership to the QA team, conducts inspections and audits, investigates quality concerns, and collaborates with production to drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in quality assurance within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Quality Assurance team during daily operations.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, and quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection reports, and compliance records.
- Train and mentor QA Inspectors and production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and Operations teams to resolve quality concerns efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies, as applicable.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Assist with internal and external audits, customer inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Escalate recurring quality issues to management and recommend solutions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing, food production, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, or other quality management systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and quality management software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse or manufacturing environments, including hot, cold, or noisy conditions.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
