The Production Coordinator is essential for enhancing production processes and driving operational efficiency within the organization. This role involves managing the inbound flow of customer components, including packaging and raw materials. Additionally, the Coordinator will assist the Production team by monitoring key metrics and providing data to improve decision-making and overall performance. This position ensures that the right input materials are available to support production schedules and requires strong communication and relationship-building with customers.

• Location:Watsonville, CA
• Pay Range:$20–$25/hour
• Schedule:Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the inbound flow of customer components, packaging, and raw materials.
• Communicate with customers regarding product needs and timelines.
• Track inbound materials to ensure alignment with internal deadlines.
• Flag delays and changes to ETAs to the Production Manager.
• Collaborate with customers to expedite arrival of components when necessary.

Customer and Supplier Relations

• Maintain positive relationships with customers and address challenges effectively.
• Provide shipment status updates and suggest alternative material options when needed.

Data and Documentation Management

• Ensure accurate system data management (codes, quantities, and lead times).
• Maintain the Open Purchase Order report.

Project and Performance Tracking

• Manage and track customer projects to support timely deliveries in coordination with production functions.

• Experience in a GMP environment preferred.
• 3 years of experience in purchasing and/or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to learn, follow, and refine procedures with minimal oversight.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with willingness to expand expertise and skill base.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
