Location: Delano, CA

Shift: 1st Shift – 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Must be flexible for overtime and weekends as needed)

Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Position Summary

The HR Clerk provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, including employee records, onboarding, payroll support, and HR operations. This position assists with maintaining accurate employee information, ensuring compliance, and supporting daily HR functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Answer phones and assist with employee inquiries and call-ins.
• Support new hire onboarding, orientations, and employee badge creation.
• Maintain employee files and update HR records, including new hires, status changes, promotions, and terminations.
• Assist with recruiting activities, interviews, and applicant tracking.
• Enter and maintain employee information in HR and payroll systems, including ADP and Kronos.
• Provide backup payroll support, including reviewing time records, correcting discrepancies, processing payroll updates, and assisting employees with payroll questions.
• Maintain training records and assist with employee events.
• Assist with HR reporting, documentation, and filing.
• Provide Spanish interpretation and translation support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, HR certificate, or related education preferred.
• 2 years of HR experience preferred, ideally in manufacturing, agriculture, or a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ADP, Kronos, or similar HR/payroll systems preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
• Ability to work in an office environment and interact with employees at all levels.
