Job Title: Facilities Maintenance & Repairs 

Department: Maintenance Department 

Summary of Functions: 

Maintain and repair buildings, restrooms, breakrooms, HVAC systems, and other duties as required. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Perform repairs to the building structures, including doors, windows, and roofs. Repair restroom and breakroom facilities as needed. 
• Perform asphalt and concrete repairs and modifications on surfaces within the facility. 
• Maintain and repair all non-production areas, such as offices and restrooms. 
• Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate work. 
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, storage areas, and storage rooms. 
• Perform other related duties as required. 

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities: 

• Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety, and General Safety rules and regulations. 
• Compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate food safety regulatory standards as well as company quality standards provided by facility, regional, and corporate quality authorities. 
• Knowledge of Setton Pistachio's Food Safety Management System and its application in a processing environment. 

Organization Relationships: 

• Will work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure food safety and maintenance of Setton Pistachio's Food Safety Management System. 
• Will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. 

Qualifications: 

• Knowledge of standard materials, tools, and equipment, with the ability to properly use and maintain tools. 
• Ability to operate and work with large equipment is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate effective verbal, written and communication skills. 
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy, handbook, 

etc. 

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. 
• Ability to read and write English. 
• Must successfully complete and pass all required orientation and certification training (e.g., New Employee Orientation, Harassment Prevention Training, Confined Space, Fall Protection, and LOBOTO). Continued employment is contingent upon meeting these training requirements. 

Physical Demands: 

• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally. 
• Ability to push, pull, and stand for long periods of time. 
• Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity. 

Work Environment: 

The employee will be exposed to loud noise, salt, and ingredient odors while performing his/her work duties. 

The employee must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices while performing his/her duties.
