FS Staffing is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Cooler Reach Operator for a food distribution center in Bloomfield, CT. In this role, you will operate a stand-up reach truck in a refrigerated warehouse environment to move, store, and replenish food products while maintaining inventory accuracy and following all food safety standards. Location: Bloomfield, CT
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM Start Time
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate a stand-up reach truck to transport, store, and retrieve palletized products.
- Load, unload, and move inventory throughout the cooler warehouse.
- Accurately pick, replenish, and put away products using RF scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Verify product counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Follow all food safety, GMP, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Work safely in a refrigerated environment for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Previous stand-up reach truck experience required.
- Prior warehouse or food distribution experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Experience using RF scanners is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a refrigerated cooler environment.
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, bend, reach, twist, and walk throughout the shift.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
