The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides compassionate, direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. This role is crucial for assisting patients of all ages with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The NA works collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility (turning, ambulation, transfers), and meals.
- Monitoring & Vitals: Perform and document vitals, weights, and intake/output. Collect specimens and assist with point-of-care testing.
- Patient Safety: Promptly answer call lights, perform frequent patient rounds, and ensure a safe environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with the healthcare team, assist with orienting new employees, and maintain professional communication.
- Documentation & Reporting: Report any changes in a patient's condition to the nurse and provide a comprehensive report to the next shift's NA.
- Additional Duties: Assist with stocking supplies, general cleaning, and providing end-of-life and post-mortem care.
- Experience: Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent within six months of hire is required. Previous hospital experience is preferred.
- Skills: Must be dependable, punctual, and have excellent time management skills.
- Physical: Capable of performing CPR, lifting up to 50 pounds, and withstanding physical and emotional stress. The role requires prolonged periods of walking, standing, and bending.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification is required.
- Scheduling: Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Salary : $17 - $22
