What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Full Spectrum Learn & Play?
Full Spectrum Learn & Play is a small family-owned company that provides enriching learning opportunities to children ages 2-6. We offer structured classes and open play times for kids of all ages. Our program incorporates academic and social skill development through play, sensory exploration & fun with new themes monthly.
At Full Spectrum, we encourage inclusion! This means that we welcome children of all abilities to join our program. For those kiddos needing more support, we also offer ABA therapy which is overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
We are looking for professionals who have a passion for children and willingness to learn!
The ideal candidate has the following knowledge:
- Knowledge of Principles and practice in early childhood education
- Knowledge of Sensory play theories, techniques, and activities that contribute to children's cognitive, emotional and social growth,
- Understanding Child Development stages, milestones, and impact of sensory experiences on overall growth
- Knowledge of Safety guidelines and best practices for facilitating activities in a child-friendly environment

- Understanding of basic technology
- Ability to speak & write at a professional level
- Basic moral and ethical knowledge
- Effective communication skills
- Love for children & learning
- Knowledge of basic child development

Candidates should:
- Be at least 18 years of age with reliable transportation
- Have or be willing to obtain a fingerprint clearance card
- Have or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
- Must be willing to complete additional training/certification (paid by company)
Compensation is dependent on qualifications and education level. Full Spectrum uses a pay scale which includes opportunity for growth, bonuses, and other incentives.
