Position Summary
The Driver is responsible for safely transporting product between warehouse locations in a box truck multiple times per day. When driving is not needed, this role supports the Warehouse team as a Warehouse Specialist, assisting with forklift operation, warehouse logistics, and shipping and receiving.
This role requires a clean driving record, comfort operating a box truck up to 26ft, and the ability to obtain an ODOT Medical Examiner's Certificate. A CDL is not required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Driving & Product Transport

Safely operate a box truck (up to 26ft) to transport product and materials between warehouse locations multiple times per day.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.

Maintain a clean driving record, follow all traffic laws, company driving policies, and safety procedures while operating company vehicles.

Accurately document loads, delivery times, and mileage as required.

Secure product properly during transport to prevent damage or shifting.
Warehouse Support (Non-Driving Days/Hours)

Operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials and product within the warehouse.

Support shipping and receiving functions, including verifying quantities and documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.

Assist with warehouse logistics, including staging, put-away, and organization of inventory.

Follow FIFO, lot control, and traceability requirements when handling materials and product.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in the warehouse and around loading/unloading zones.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor and Supply Chain team to plan daily driving routes and schedules.

Communicate proactively regarding delivery delays, vehicle issues, or product discrepancies.

Partner with Warehouse Specialists and other Supply Chain team members to ensure smooth, on-time transport of product.
Safety, Quality & Compliance

Follow all safety, food safety, and quality policies while driving and while working in the warehouse.

Ensure proper handling, labeling, and documentation of product and materials during transport and warehouse activities.

Identify and escalate any non-conformances related to product handling, labeling, or vehicle safety.

Clean driving record required; must be able to pass and maintain company driving eligibility standards.

Ability to obtain and maintain an ODOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Experience driving a box truck (up to 26ft) or similar commercial vehicle; CDL not required.

Forklift experience required; ability to obtain/maintain forklift certification.

Experience with warehouse logistics, shipping, and receiving preferred.

Strong attention to detail and reliability with scheduling and route timing.

Comfortable splitting time between driving duties and warehouse floor activities.

Basic computer/data entry skills; ERP experience a plus.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Work is performed both on the road (box truck) and in warehouse/production environments.

Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Ability to stand/move for extended periods with frequent reaching, bending, and twisting.

Exposure to noise, temperature variation, and warehouse/production equipment is expected.

Comfortable getting on and off a forklift and in/out of a box truck multiple times per shift.

Required use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear per company policy.

Ability to work in tight or enclosed spaces.
Schedule: Schedule may vary based on business needs.
- Tuesday - Saturday; 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with ability to flex to a later time if needed.
- Overtime including holidays and weekends as needed.

Pay:
Starting Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience Premium Pay
Premium Pay:
Hours worked during the following windows will receive premium pay as follows:
- 5:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.: Earn an additional 10% per hour.
- 1:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.: Earn an additional 15% per hour.
- All hours on Saturday and Sunday: Earn an additional 15% per hour.
