Wait Staff Member

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Wait Staff Member to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and a positive attitude. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and satisfied from the moment they arrive until their departure. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, utilizing host/hostess experience if applicable.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff and bar team.
• Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Process cash transactions accurately, handle credit card payments via POS systems, and manage cash handling procedures responsibly.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction through attentive service.
• Assist with food handling, bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to maintain smooth operations.

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Experience with fine dining service or cocktail experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, beverage service, and food safety standards is beneficial.
• Strong time management skills combined with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role.
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash register operations are required.
• Prior experience in guest services, bussing, cashiering, or hosting roles will support your ability to excel as a Wait Staff Member.

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
