Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety, including food handling and sanitation protocols
- Upsell menu items such as specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately, including handling tips and managing POS systems like OpenTable for reservations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations through bussing and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to efficiently process sales transactions
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to provide expert recommendations to guests
- Experience with fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on customer service excellence and guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing sales transactions
