Position: Unarmed Event Security Officer – Outdoor Art Sculpture Exhibit
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Position Overview

Full Force Protection Services LLC is seeking professional, alert, and customer-service-oriented Security Officers to provide security for an outdoor art sculpture exhibit.

The primary responsibility of this assignment is to protect the artwork from unauthorized touching, climbing, vandalism, damage, or other inappropriate interaction while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests.

This is a public-facing position. Officers are expected to remain attentive throughout the shift, interact professionally with visitors, and proactively address situations before they result in damage to the artwork or disruption of the exhibit.

Primary Responsibilities

Security Officers assigned to the exhibit will be responsible for:

• Maintaining a visible and professional security presence around designated sculptures and exhibit areas.
• Closely monitoring guests and pedestrian activity surrounding the artwork.
• Preventing visitors from touching, climbing, sitting, leaning, hanging objects on, or otherwise interfering with the sculptures when prohibited.
• Watching for attempted vandalism, graffiti, theft, intentional damage, or suspicious behavior.
• Politely and professionally reminding guests of exhibit rules and boundaries.
• Using verbal communication and de-escalation as the primary method of gaining compliance.
• Immediately reporting any damage, attempted vandalism, suspicious activity, safety hazard, or significant incident to the appropriate supervisor.
• Helping maintain safe pedestrian movement around sculptures and exhibit areas.
• Preventing unauthorized individuals from entering restricted or designated areas.
• Remaining observant for children, pets, large groups, or other situations where accidental contact with the artwork may occur.
• Maintaining awareness of the surrounding environment and identifying potential safety concerns before they become incidents.
• Following all Full Force Protection Services post orders, supervisor instructions, and client requirements.

Officer Expectations

This assignment requires officers to be proactive rather than reactive. Officers should not wait until someone has already touched, climbed on, or damaged a sculpture before addressing the situation.

When an individual appears to be approaching or interacting with the artwork in a prohibited manner, officers should professionally intervene and provide clear direction while remaining respectful and courteous.

Because this is an art exhibit, officers must understand that they are representing both Full Force Protection Services and the client. Professional appearance, communication, patience, and good judgment are essential.

Position Requirements

Officers must:

• Arrive on time and prepared for the entire scheduled shift.
• Be capable of working a 13-hour outdoor shift from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
• Remain awake, alert, attentive, and engaged throughout the assignment.
• Maintain a professional uniform and appearance.
• Communicate respectfully with guests, staff, artists, vendors, and other security personnel.
• Be comfortable standing and/or walking for extended periods.
• Be prepared for outdoor weather conditions.
• Follow established incident-reporting and chain-of-command procedures.
• Never leave an assigned post without proper relief or supervisor authorization.

Compensation & Schedule

Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour
Scheduled Hours: 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Scheduled Shift: 13 hours

Officers are expected to arrive ready to work at the scheduled start time and remain on assignment until properly relieved or released by a supervisor.

Our Objective

The goal of this assignment is simple: protect the artwork, protect the public, and preserve the experience of the exhibit.

Security personnel should accomplish this through strong observation, proactive communication, professional presence, and respectful de-escalation while ensuring that the sculptures and surrounding exhibit areas remain safe and undamaged.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
