Recertification Clerk

This is a full-time on-site role for a Recertification Clerk based in Chicago, IL. The Recertification Clerk will be responsible for reviewing and processing tenant recertifications, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Duties include managing and updating tenant files, collecting required documentation, verifying eligibility, and maintaining accurate records. The role also requires frequent communication with residents to provide guidance and assistance during the recertification process, helping to address questions and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner. Collaboration with team members and promoting a positive resident experience are integral parts of the role.

• Strong organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency in document review and recordkeeping
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and addressing inquiries
• Knowledge of compliance regulations, tenant eligibility requirements, and affordable housing programs
• Proficiency in data entry and computer applications, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Prior experience in property management or affordable housing is highly advantageous
• Bilingual abilities in languages relevant to the community are a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in a related field is preferred
