Account Manager
The Account Manager supports the overall management of the Walmart and Sam's Club business by coordinating cross-functional activities that drive operational excellence, customer service, supply continuity, pricing execution, compliance, and business analytics. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams, retail partners, suppliers, and service providers to ensure the successful execution of the business strategy.
While not primarily responsible for direct selling or brand development, the Account Manager plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day functions necessary to support profitable growth, retailer satisfaction, and operational performance across Walmart and Sam's Club.

What You’ll Be Doing:
(Key Responsibilities)
Business Management & Retail Execution
- Support the VP of Strategic Accounts and leadership team in managing Walmart and Sam's Club business objectives.
- Assist with preparation of customer business reviews, strategic meetings, and retailer presentations.
- Coordinate retailer initiatives, timelines, and action plans across internal departments.
- Maintain accountability for key deliverables, project milestones, and customer commitments.
- Monitor retailer programs, implementation schedules, and business changes to ensure timely execution.
Pricing & Financial Management
- Coordinate implementation of price changes and cost adjustments.
- Partner with finance teams providing feedback related to deductions, claims, and customer chargebacks.
- Utilize data trends and forecasting analytics to help identify gaps in internal and external financial deliverables.
Supply Chain & Order Management
- Partner with supply chain, operations, and production teams to support inventory availability and service levels.
- Monitor retailer replenishment trends, order patterns, and inventory performance.
- Identify and communicate supply risks, shortages, or distribution challenges to leadership.
- Support retailer inventory initiatives, seasonal planning, and volume forecasts.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze sales performance, inventory trends, forecast accuracy, and operational metrics.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership regarding opportunities and risks.
- Utilize Walmart and Sam's Club reporting platforms to evaluate business performance.
- Support, define, and execute retailer ad hoc data requests and business analyses.
Retail Systems & Item Management
- Coordinate item setup, maintenance, and retailer system requirements.
- Ensure accurate product attributes, specifications, and retailer-facing information.
- Assist with new item launches, transitions, packaging changes, and assortment updates.
- Support retailer system compliance and data integrity efforts.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as a central point of communication between sales, supply chain, finance, quality, operations, and external partners.
- Facilitate issue resolution and drive accountability across teams.
- Coordinate internal meetings and follow-up activities.
- Support strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Retail Relationship Support
- Assist with preparing materials for the VP of Strategic Accounts for meetings involving merchant, replenishment, supply chain, and category teams.
- Respond to ad hoc requests and follow up on open issues.
- Support retailer communication and execution of customer-driven initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- On-time execution of retailer initiatives
- Pricing accuracy and implementation timeliness
- Reporting accuracy and business analytics quality

What You Will Bring to the Role
(Key Qualifications)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in account management, category management, supply chain, analytics, finance, or customer business support.
- Experience with Walmart and/or Sam's Club preferred but not required.
Skills & Competencies
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
