About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead – Full Stack with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong experience in ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, EF Core, React/Angular, Azure, RESTful & GraphQL APIs, and modern DevOps practices.


Responsibilities


  • Lead the design, architecture, development, and maintenance of scalable full-stack applications using ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, EF Core, React, Angular, and TypeScript.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers through mentoring, coaching, and code reviews.
  • Design, develop, and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support enterprise applications.
  • Define application architecture, coding standards, development best practices, and technical governance.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Lead technical design discussions, estimate effort, identify risks, and support sprint planning activities.
  • Drive cloud-native application development using Microsoft Azure services and ensure adherence to cloud best practices.
  • Champion DevOps culture by implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and release processes.
  • Design and optimize solutions leveraging both SQL and NoSQL databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Ensure software quality through unit testing, code quality analysis, security best practices, and performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
  • Foster Agile engineering practices and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance application architecture, development efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery while balancing technical debt and business priorities.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 6 - 8 years of software development experience with at least 2 years leading development teams or technical initiatives.



Required Skills


  • Extensive hands-on experience with: ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, Entity Framework Core (EF Core), C#
  • Strong experience designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong experience with front-end technologies: React, Angular, TypeScript
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience implementing DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Git and modern version control workflows.
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and secure coding practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.



Preferred Skills


  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Experience with application monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar.
  • Azure Developer or Azure Solutions Architect certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working with enterprise-scale distributed applications.


This is a hybrid role based in Glastonbury, CT.
