Fujitsu Research of America (FRA) is seeking a highly skilledResearch Engineer with a strong background in full-stack development to join our research team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both front-end and back-end development, as well as a passion for translating research findings into scalable, user-friendly applications. This role requires a deep understanding of software engineering principles, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work at the intersection of research and development. The selected candidate will be based in FRA’s Pittsburgh office.

Job Responsibilities
- Full-stack Development: Lead the design, development, and deployment of web applications and services that integrate cutting-edge research technologies.
- Research Collaboration: Work closely with researchers and engineers in our team to translate the developed research achievements into practical software solutions.
- System Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure software architectures that support our research initiatives.
- Prototyping and Experimentation: Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept applications to test and demonstrate new research ideas.
- Code Quality and Best Practices: Ensure high-quality code by following best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Project Management: Manage the full software development lifecycle of research projects, including planning, development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Paper Publication Contribution: Contribute partially to the preparation and publication of research papers, supporting the dissemination of the team's research findings.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineer or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in full-stack development, with a strong portfolio of web applications or software systems.
- Proficient in front-end development using languages such as React, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong back-end development skills in languages like Python and C .
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Experience deploying machine learning or computer vision technologies into production using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with environment setup for Python-based servers, such as Docker, Conda, Node.js, Flask, and others.
- Experience with application development in game engines, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and other similar platforms.
- Experience with databases (SQL), API development, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Academic publication record.
