What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Analytical Development Scientist I position at Fujirebio Diagnostics Inc?
Position Summary: The individual will assist in the analytical development of immunoassays which includes performing product verification and performing the necessary tasks to complete a Design Control project. Other responsibilities include executing experiments in a GMP environment, interpreting results and summarizing data into project reports.
Essential Job Functions:
Performs Design Verification and other designated analytical studies and interprets data with the assistance of senior scientists and/or Managers
Assists with authoring Design Verification and other designated analytical protocols and summarizes the data in detailed study reports
Prepares specimens for the studies.
Executes Design Validation studies
Performs data authentication when necessary
Orders materials and tracks inventory
Follows all company environmental, health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines and conducts work in a safe manner
Other duties as assigned
Job Specifications (skills, knowledge, special training, certification, license requirements):
Immunoassay development and manufacturing experience
Technical problem-solving skills and discipline
Ability to write clear, concise technical reports
Protein modification/chemistry knowledge desirable
Quality control experience desirable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be detail-oriented and thorough
Ability to work with various software packages
Ability to make presentations to various groups of individuals
Ability to work with potentially hazardous materials
Manual dexterity and ability to do visual inspections
Ability to travel nationally and internationally
Education and Work Experience Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; B.S. in Biological Sciences or Chemistry required.
Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience, preferably in the diagnostic or pharmaceutical industries
The base salary range for this position is $62,500- $72,000/year. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
