Fuel Talent is partnering with Deposely in their search for a Business and Operations Manager to support their rapidly growing AI startup.
About Deposely:
Deposely is legal tech startup that is transforming the way Lawyers conduct deposition of witnesses through AI. The use planning, real-time assistance during depositions, and the post deposition analysis significantly impacts lawyer’s efficiency and ability to find insights to win their cases. They partner with large Court Reporting Agencies and sell to law firms, from the smallest solo practice to the largest American Law top 100 Law firms.
Role Overview:
As their first Business and Operations hire, you’ll wear multiple hats:process builder, hands on operator to prove out business processes, and run important processes for the company.You’ll be responsible for running the business processes (bookkeeping, financial reporting), payments (to business partners, sales commissions, payroll, line of business applications), and help the company grow (plan their expanding office footprint, onboard employees), and support the COO in company financial responsibilities.
Your Impact:
Financial management:
- Oversee finances (financial reporting, bookkeeping, monitor budgets, payroll/commissions)
- Work with contract CFO (chart of accounts, tax audit)
- Work with COO on budget/forecast
- Accounts payable with key strategic partners (and work with engineering on automating system) and company expenses (IT systems, key tools)
Business Analysis:
- Tracking and analysis of financial and company KPIs
- Configuration and tuning of sales pipeline tools to support key KPIs
- Special business analysis projects for the COO to support rapid company growth
Human resources & Space planning:
- Coordinates hiring, onboarding, staff records
- Office space planning to keep ahead of company growth (working with current space vendor and lining up larger spaces)
- Vendor relationships & vendor management
- Helps plan company quarterly meetings and rhythm of the business
Be part of a startup team:
- Develop strategies to streamline and improve business operations, keeping ahead of rapid growth. Oversee compliance, risk management and operational policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- 6 years in Business Administration and leading operational functions with small businesses
- Proven experience building company processes from scratch
- Excellent communication, business, and relationship-building skills in a startup environment
- Comfortable with ambiguity, fast growth, and startup pace
- Experience with tools like Carta/Pully, Rippling, QuickBooks, Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Prior experience in 10-50 person tech startups
- Familiarity with financial processes (bookkeeping, tax, payroll, accounts payable)

Compensation:
For Full time: $120-140k Salary DOE company equity grant
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
