Store Cashier

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Flexible Shifts Available – 24/7 Business)

Job Summary

Fuel City is seeking friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Convenience Store Cashiers. This position is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, accurately processing transactions, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and supporting overall store operations.

Our stores operate 24/7 and offer flexible scheduling opportunities, including overnight shifts with premium pay opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

Cashier Operations

• Operate cash registers and process customer transactions accurately

• Perform opening and closing till procedures

• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions responsibly

• Assist with store operational tasks as assigned

• Support area stocking and merchandise replenishment

• Follow company policies regarding cash handling, security, and safety

Customer Service

• Deliver a T1 customer experience through friendly and professional service

• Greet customers upon arrival and thank them as they leave

• Provide information regarding products, promotions, and services

• Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally

• Build positive customer relationships through engagement and attentiveness

Work Area Management

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas

• Front and merchandise products to maintain store appearance

• Restock shelves and displays as needed

• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock

• Ensure workstations remain clean, safe, and properly supplied throughout the shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks

• Ability to bend, reach, stock, and clean throughout the shift

Overnight Shift Opportunity

Employees working overnight shifts may qualify for premium pay opportunities. Overnight team members play a key role in maintaining store operations, customer service, cleanliness, and stocking during late-night business hours.

Pay Range: $11.00-16.00/hour depending on shift and experience
