Cashier/Light Cook – Quick Service Restaurant (QSR)
Provided friendly customer service in a fast-paced Mexican QSR environment while accurately taking orders, handling cash/card transactions, and maintaining a clean front counter. Assisted with basic food preparation, cooking, and assembling menu items while following food safety and quality standards. Worked efficiently as part of a team to ensure fast service and customer satisfaction. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Be able to prepare food based on customer's request.
• Be able to do light prep work.
• Be able to clean and maintain equipment on a weekly basis.
• Adhere to closing duties required on nightly basis (includes dishes, cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, etc.)
• Ensure that all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs for guests.
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Participate in the training of new kitchen staff, sharing knowledge of culinary techniques and food service best practices.
• Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
• Be able to take order accurately.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role, preferably in food service environments.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and dietary aide responsibilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Familiarity with culinary equipment and kitchen safety protocols is essential.
• Bilingual in Spanish/English

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
