You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including IT, clinical operations, and business intelligence—to ensure accurate, secure, and actionable insights from large-scale healthcare data sets.

  • Develop and optimize ETL pipelines for healthcare data integration across EHR, claims, and public health systems using SQL, SSIS, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Analyze, validate, and visualize key healthcare metrics to support outcomes reporting, utilization management, and value-based care initiatives.
  • Ensure all deliverables adhere to HIPAA, HITECH, and data privacy/security requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional data projects focused on population health analytics, patient risk stratification, and performance improvement.
  • Build and maintain centralized documentation of data models, metadata, and lineage across multiple healthcare data sources.
  • Translate clinical and operational requirements into scalable data solutions that support predictive modeling and advanced analytics.
  • Support continuous improvement through automation, quality control, and implementation of healthcare data best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis or data management, with 5 years focused on healthcare data (payer, provider, or health IT environments).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, and Power BI for data integration, transformation, and visualization.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, X12, ICD-10, CPT, and SNOMED.
  • Proven ability to develop data governance policies, establish data quality frameworks, and support compliance initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and distributed data environments.
  • Experience supporting analytics in domains like clinical operations, revenue cycle, claims management, or population health.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA), CBIP, or CDMP certification.
  • TOGAF, DAMA, or other data architecture/governance certifications preferred.
  • Epic Clarity or Caboodle certification a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of data warehousing and healthcare interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of data integration design patterns and healthcare data modeling.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large, complex datasets (10K–5M records).
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for healthcare data analytics and reporting.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to deliver insights that improve patient outcomes.
  • Commitment to accuracy, privacy, and continuous improvement in healthcare data practices.
