Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Demolition Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing selective demolition work on a variety of construction sites, ensuring safety and precision at every stage. Key Responsibilities
- Perform selective demolition tasks including interior stripping, removal of materials, and structural dismantling.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure full OSHA compliance.
- Safely remove and dispose of materials when applicable.
- Communicate effectively with teammates, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project flow.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment and materials.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Uphold and demonstrate FTR’s core values in the field through your work ethic and behavior.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in demolition, construction, or related fields preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with selective demolition techniques, tools, and heavy equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and demolition plans.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Physically capable of working on your feet all day and lifting heavy objects (minimum 40 lbs).
- Ability to work in tough conditions, including confined spaces and from heights.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to precision and safety.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership potential.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel and work out of town when requested.
- Possession of basic tools (hammer, pry bar, utility knife, impact) is strongly encouraged by Day 1 and required after 30 days.
