PAY RANGE IS AVERAGE PER JOB!
Crews are completing 3-7 jobs per day.
Vibratory plow with bore capabilities is preferred (VP30, Maxi, 410) but can also have crews hand bury.
Job Overview:
We are actively seeking experienced subcontractor drop crews for ongoing fiber installation work in the La Crosse, WI market. Crews will be responsible for completing residential and/or commercial drop installations from tap/pedestal to premise. This is consistent work with competitive per-drop rates and fast pay cycles.
Scope of Work:
- Install aerial and/or underground fiber drops from mainline to customer premise
- Perform basic wall penetrations and secure entry points
- Place and secure fiber along structures (homes, poles, buildings)
- Conduct basic testing to confirm service (light levels, continuity if required)
- Restore job site (bury line, yard repair, cleanup)
- Follow all local codes, safety standards, and customer requirements
Pay Structure:
- Additional Compensation:
- Per ft with some stackable codes.
- Long driveway / extended footage: per foot rate after standard length
- Rock/hardscape/concrete: negotiated add-ons
- Missed appointments / reschedules: trip fees (if applicable)
(Rates can be adjusted based on experience, production volume, and crew capability)
Crew Requirements:
- Must operate as an insured subcontractor (LLC or equivalent preferred)
- General liability insurance required (COI upon request)
- Prior fiber drop installation experience required
- Ability to complete multiple drops per day with high quality
- Must provide own truck(s), tools, ladders, and equipment
- Boring/trenching equipment preferred for UG work
- Valid driver’s licenses for all operators
Preferred:
- Existing 2–4 person crews ready to mobilize
- Experience with fiber (FTTH) projects
- Crews capable of both aerial and underground work
- Ability to handle high-volume production schedules
