Maintenance & Yardwork Handyman

Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance & Yardwork Handyman to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the upkeep of residential rental properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in general property maintenance, lawn care, landscaping, and the safe operation of tools and small equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs at rental properties.
• Mow lawns, trim hedges, edge sidewalks, and maintain landscaping.
• Water and care for plants, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Remove debris and maintain clean, attractive property grounds.
• Operate and maintain lawn equipment and hand tools, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assist with painting, pressure washing, minor carpentry, and other property maintenance tasks.
• Identify and report maintenance issues that require additional attention.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with yard work and landscaping.
• Knowledge of plant care and seasonal property maintenance.
• Experience operating tools and small equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools.
• Experience with a backhoe and skid steer is a plus.
• Basic maintenance and repair skills.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of direct experience as a groundskeeper, maintenance technician, handyman, or in a related maintenance position.
• Ability to work independently and follow directions.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
