Position Summary
Position is responsible for safely and courteously providing Home Delivered Meals (HDM) to our clients. Transport home delivered meals to and from the Center, keeping daily mileage records, maintenance of van including cleaning and reporting any mechanical problems. HDM driver follows all safety rules and emergency procedures and reports any problems directly to Supervisor; notifies AllThrive 365 Fleet Manager of any mechanical or vehicle problems that need to be addressed.
This position has no direct reports.
Essential Functions: | % of Time |
· Provides transportation of home delivered meals using an AllThrive 365 Programs vehicle · Delivers meals to clients in a safe and pleasant manner · Records daily deliveries on appropriate forms in accordance with current Area Agency on Aging, Region One, Inc., policies · Makes sure all delivery and maintenance forms are completed weekly · Maintains route maps, placing them in a permanent binder which shall be kept in the van · Keeps regular schedule for consistent delivery times for clients · Checks with Supervisor daily for updates on status of clients · Assists kitchen in cleaning, taking out trash and other duties as needed

Requirements
Education/Experience/Credentials/Knowledge/Understanding
· Knowledge of the needs and problems of the senior community.
· Must be able to enter and exit vehicle multiple times per day to deliver lunches to HDM clients.
· Must be able to lift 25 pounds and perform work that requires lifting, bending and stooping.
· Must not have any restrictions for physical work for which reasonable accommodation cannot be made.
· Possess a valid unrestricted driver license and be insurable by AllThrive 365 and good driving record
· Possess CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of position entry
· Possess Valid Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 60 days of position entry
· Clear fingerprint background screening through the Department of Public Safety and comprehensive background clearance to include a physical, drug screen and other
· Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred:
· Extensive experience working with seniors
Skills
· Good verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and demeanor with the ability to build rapport and garner trust with others
· Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
Abilities
· Able to comprehend, retain, and follow regulations and policies set forth by Area of Aging Agency
