About the Role
As a Front of House Associate at FS8 Studio, you are the first face our members see—setting the tone for every class and interaction. Your presence and attitude directly influence our community’s sense of belonging, support, and excitement. You’re not just working the desk—you’re making every member feel valued and supported in their wellness journey.
Key Responsibilities
Member Experience & Service
- Greet all members and guests with warmth, professionalism, and open body language
- Assist members with check-in, pricing and promotions, questions, and account needs
- Connect with trial members before and after class to answer questions, offer guidance, and close on membership conversions
- Celebrate member milestones with cards and prizes (polaroids at key achievements)
- Share information about FS8 program, class styles, and membership benefits, bringing a personal touch to each interaction
Sales
- Contribute to sales targets in alignment with overall studio membership/revenue goals
- Drive membership conversions - provide expert guidance on FS8 program, trial experience, studio promotions, member perks, confidently guide leads to suitable membership and service options
- Track and process membership sales and in-studio purchases
Studio Operations & Admin
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment
- Reset the studio after designated class times (e.g., 9:25am, 12:15pm, close)
- Follow weekly cleaning assignments, including reformer wipe-downs and retail dusting
- Prepare for each shift by reviewing daily info, class rosters, and milestones
System Access & Data Privacy
You will be trained and granted access to platforms like Mindbody, Google Drive, Slack, Ring Central, Loyasnap and others. It is your responsibility to maintain confidentiality, never share login credentials, and report any suspected privacy breaches to studio leadership immediately.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum availability of 2 shifts per week, including rotating weekend availability
- Must have a high school diploma/GED
- Sales or customer-facing experience preferred; fitness or wellness industry experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to connect confidently with new and returning clients
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service
- Comfortable using or learning software systems (booking, sales & communication)
- A team player with the ability to authentically represent the FS8 brand
- Willingness to learn and grow with the studio as we evolve, including participating in mandatory monthly team meetings and regular staff trainings
Scheduling & Compensation
- Schedules are posted at least 2 weeks in advance in the When I Workapp
- Weekday shifts pay $16.50/hour; weekends & designated holidays pay $20/hour
