Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable temporary worker to assist with moving furniture and installing new fixtures as part of a hotel renovation or refresh project. This role involves hands-on physical work and supporting our maintenance and operations team to ensure guest areas are set up safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Move, lift, and reposition hotel furniture (beds, dressers, desks, chairs, etc.)
- Assist with the installation of new fixtures such as lighting, shelving, mirrors, or hardware
- Remove and properly dispose of old fixtures or furniture as directed
- Follow instructions from supervisors and maintenance staff
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe
- Use basic hand tools and equipment safely
- Adhere to hotel safety policies and procedures at all times
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying heavy items
- Comfortable standing, bending, and moving for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools is a plus (training provided if needed)
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Previous moving, maintenance, electrical, or construction experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance as needed)
- Ability to work indoors in guest rooms and common areas
Schedule & Duration
- Temporary assignment
- Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, or daytime hours as needed
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
