Concrete Construction Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our building projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and contractors to ensure competitive pricing and project feasibility. Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, design intent, and budget constraints.
• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis to ensure accurate bid submissions that reflect current market rates and material costs.
• Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Review contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to manage cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in evaluating construction site conditions and integrating site-specific factors into estimates for more precise budgeting.
• Support project management teams by providing detailed estimates that inform scheduling, resource allocation, and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid; familiarity with Bluebeam for document review is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors.
• Solid knowledge of construction contracts, project management principles, and cost control strategies.
• Hands-on construction site experience that provides practical insight into field operations and challenges.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and technical documents accurately.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
