Position Title: Maintenance Worker
Location: Frying Pan Farm Park; 2709 West Ox Rd., Herndon, VA 20171
Hours: Approximately 17-30 hours per week, 4 days. Days and hours vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Salary: $18-22/hour based on experience.
Description: Performs routine maintenance, cleaning, and groundskeeping tasks. Mows, string trims, rakes sand, waters, and weeds the grounds at Frying Pan. Sweeps, mops, and disinfects floors in buildings. Cleans and disinfects site restrooms, to include walls, floors, and bathroom fixtures. Empties trash receptacles and picks up litter throughout the park. Assists with equestrian activities, i.e.: cleaning horse stalls and helping with shows. Assist with event prep, set-up and disassembly.
Qualifications: Experience maintaining buildings and grounds preferred. Must be eligible to work in Virginia, possess a Social Security card, and have access to reliable transportation. Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds and able to conduct basic conversation in English. Self-motivated.
Necessary Special Requirements:
- The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check to the satisfaction of the employer.
- Note: Part-time benefits eligible positions are scheduled to work a minimum 1,040 hours and no more than a maximum of 1,560 hours in a calendar year. This position is eligible to receive limited benefits, including Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Coverage, Flexible Spending Program, and Deferred Compensation.
