What are the responsibilities and job description for the MATERIAL HANDLER position at FRY REGLET CORPORATION?
Overview
The material handler is responsible to pick, consolidate, and stage raw material inventory according to the direction of the coordinator for production into finished goods. The position requires attention to detail, ability to follow processes and procedures, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Also included is the accurate receiving of materials from vendors.
Responsibilities:

Pull and stage material under the direction of the production coordinator. Staged materials should have the associated POR with it and wrapped/labeled as needed to secure materials and their purpose.

Organize and consolidate racks. The inventory supervisor will provide main direction on this and any major restructuring. However, general consolidation of like items into one rack as they are used or restocked should be independent work.

Communicate inventory issues. Any issues with staging the proper material for a production order should be reported to the coordinator immediately. This includes material shortages and quality issues.

Communicate inventory moves within the warehouse. Complete the material movement sheet and transact in Navision.

Examine package for damage. Any chance of damage must be noted on the BOL. Pictures of the delivery should be taken to verify the condition of the material. The inventory supervisor, purchasing, and the quality are to be alerted so that inspection of the material is scheduled as soon as possible.

Ensure quantities on pack list are accurate by comparing the count on the pack list to the physical count of the materials being delivered. Any discrepancies are to be written on the BOL. Pictures of the delivery should be taken to verify the condition of the material, The inventory supervisor and purchasing should be alerted with verbal and written notice.

Receive purchase order and perform put-aways on Navision as required.

Label and put away in stock bin or deliver material directly to the department needing it.

Receive RMAs from customers and alert Quality and Inventory Supervisors so it can be scheduled for inspection and processing.

Coordinate materials moving from FMS to Fry including transacting bin moves and processing transfer orders in Navision.

Support Cycle Counting and material handling as needed.

Review Transfer bin to ensure consumptions and put-aways are completed.

Complete forklift inspections as needed.

Put away finished goods (packed materials from Fry) into the correct bin.

Restock material not used in production and advise coordinator so that the production orders can be updated.

Unload incoming deliveries including extrusion trucks and assist in verifying receipts.

Verify quantities on outgoing shipments, comparing the physical counts to the sales orders.

Apply shipping pro numbers to pallets.

Qualifications:
