LOCATION: Fruitport Middle School
POSITION: Long Term Substitute - Science Teacher
Approximate Dates April 13, 2026 - June 10, 2026
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Michigan teaching certificate endorsement of DI, DX, BA or BX preferred.
- Be eligible for a substitute teaching permit required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge and ability to effectively follow district and state curriculum assessment requirements.
- Ability to stay current regarding art topics, trends and career opportunities for students to
- pursue.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member of an effective Professional Learning Community (PLC).
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions & Support (PBIS).
- Knowledge of and commitment to use technology as an instructional tool to enhance teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of and ability to implement on a regular basis cooperative learning strategies and flexible grouping strategies.
- Willing to work collaboratively with teams of teachers (including special education teachers).
- Follow and implement all Board of Education policies, administrative guidelines and building regulations.
- Willing to perform other duties as necessary and/or directed by the principal.
