NOTICE OF INTENT TO EMPLOY
POSITION: Full-Time Building Maintenance (8 Hours per day)
LOCATION: District Wide
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess a valid State of Michigan driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Provide evidence (certification and/or license) of acquired skills in the following maintenance areas: Electrical, Heating/Controls/Hot Water Boilers, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration Equipment, Kitchen Equipment, and HVAC/Pneumatic Trouble Shooting (Preferred)
- Four (4) years of prior school building or related maintenance experience. (Preferred)
- Flexibility in hours
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Performs general maintenance work inside and outside all district facilities, including ceilings, roofs, electrical, plumbing, concrete, masonry, insulation, tile, and pump and fan repairs.
- Determines and initiates the proper action to be taken to effectively and expeditiously complete repairs in accordance with school policy, sound maintenance practices, and priority and urgency of operations.
- Safety in all aspects of the job is a must.
- Ability to work constructively as a team member.
- Ability to communicate well with all persons at all levels of the school community.
- Maintain all safety and code requirements, including State, local, and Board of Education guidelines.
- Other responsibilities as directed by the Operations Director.
