Job Description
As a Pre-Weigher you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation of raw materials and ingredients required for the production process. You will be responsible for weighing and measuring various substances according to specific formulas and recipes, ensuring the precise quantity and quality of materials for our manufacturing operations. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and strict compliance with regulatory requirements. Your contribution will directly impact the quality and consistency of our final products.
Responsibilities
1. Weigh and measure raw materials and ingredients accurately, following prescribed formulas, recipes, or batch records.
2. Operate and maintain pre-weighing equipment, such as scales, balances, and measuring instruments, to ensure precise measurements and minimal errors.
3. Prepare and label containers for the storage and transport of pre-weighed materials, ensuring proper identification and traceability.
4. Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as all other requlatory requirements including FDA, cGMP, ISO and other applicable guidelines to maintain quality and safety standards.
5. Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery of pre-weighed materials to the manufacturing area.
6. Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or deviations to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of pre-weighing activities, including batch records, material usage logs, and inventory records.
8. Follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and handle hazardous materials in accordance with established protocols.
9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, suggesting and implementing ideas to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
10. Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements related to pre-weighing processes and materials.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or vocational training preferred.
General: Must follow safety rules and use PPE correctly. Must understand English, with the ability to read and write in English. Physically able to move up to 75lbs of bulk materials.
Experience
One to two years of relevant experience as a Pre-Weigher similar role within a pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
