WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Can be hot and humid. Will get dirty. Will require entry into small, enclosed spaces. May require climbing of heights up to 50 feet.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Supervisor will ensure our treated products meet company and industry standards through the performance of lab analysis in conjunction with accurate data collection. The Quality Supervisor has the responsibility to maintain environmental and safety compliance at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report all unsafe or non-compliant incidents.
- Ensure all quality procedures are performed properly.
- Work with the Corporate TSG department to ensure continuous quality assurance.
- Ensure the performance of treated wood borings to determine chemical retention and penetration are completed as specified. Maintain a log of these analyses.
- Use assay results to adjust mix ratios of chemical and water; mix chemical ingredients according to specifications.
- Maintain calibration of instruments required for quality control processes.
- Perform quality control audits with internal and 3rd party inspectors.
- Ensure the treating documents and logs are filled out properly on a daily basis.
- Maintain chemical inventory daily; understand daily usage; perform chemical variance weekly.
- Follow chemical receiving procedures to safely accept new shipments of chemicals.
- Check kiln dried material for correct moisture content daily.
- Assist the Receiving Clerk in checking the quality of inbound wood.
- Fill in as a treater as required and be able to train all potential treaters proficiently
- Work with Corporate and external resources to coordinate Concentrate Mixes for Licensees
- Maintain Hazardous Waste Log; ensure proper processes are followed.
- Input information into the Operations Log as required.
- Collect stormwater samples, perform inspections and maintain the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan log.
- Participate on the Plant Leadership team to drive continuous improvement.
- Work with maintenance to ensure all equipment and instruments are operating correctly and are calibrated as needed.
- Manage the treating plant personnel to include: hiring, training, development, accountability, scheduling, compensation.
- Keep the lab and treating plant(s) clean and organized.
- Assist with cleanup of any chemical spills or drippage throughout the yard.
- Other duties as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required; Secondary Education Preferred.
- Ability to obtain a state pesticide applicator license.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
